ONLY THROUGH ECONOMY THAT THE BUMIPUTERAS CAN DEFEND & HOLD ON TO THEIR STATUS WHILE IMPROVING THEIR LIVING STANDARD & GAIN RESPECT FROM FELLOW SARAWAKIANS
ONE million ringgit would be initially injected to start-up the Perbadanan Modal Bumiputera Satok (PMBS) which is to be set up within the next three months as a new plan module to uplift the Malays’ economic status.
“PMBS would serve as a cooperative focussing on real estate business where any Bumiputera, either businessman down to any normal people, particularly those in and around the Satok constituency can take part in investing like an equity investment and be rewarded with its dividends.”
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Deputy President Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg said this only through economy that the Bumiputeras could defend and hold on to their status while improving their living standard to a higher level in a developing city.
“Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya Datuk Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof and me will chip-in RM500,000 while another interested party (which Johari declined to announce its identified) will chip-in the other half a million ringgit as a starter for PMBS.”
Johari, who is also Minister of Housing and and Satok Assemblyman said to reporters during a press conference after chairing the Satok PBB committee meeting at the Satok PBB’s operation room at Jalan Kulas near the city here yesterday.
“I realised that maybe many people are sceptical over this new module, so to make them understand more on this scheme, we will invite finance and investment experts from Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and one of its subsidiary companies Sime Derby to give series of seminars on the related matter.’
We specially invited these experts to come here and give seminars and explain to the local the people here on the proceedings or procedures of the proposed PMBS within the period of three months before establishing PMBS.”
Johari, who is very optimistic on the new module added that if implemented accordingly, it will prevent all the Malay’s kampungs located in or near the urban areas to be isolated and not developed properly in the middle of the cities.
“We will initially start with Satok particularly in the areas of Satok, Kulas, Jalan P. Ramlee and Jalan Haji Taha before the module or concept could be spread to the other interested areas,” he added.
PMBS is actually giving an opportunity to give the Bumiputeras a chance in investing into PMBS as low as RM100, said Johari urging the Bumiputeras to grab the investment opportunities to improve their economic status.
