HIDUP TAIB! HIDUP PBB! HIDUP SARAWAK!-

Ahli Majlis Tertinggi PBB, Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah turut menolak spekulasi Taib akan meletakkan jawatannya, beliau menyifatkan berita mengenai peralihan kuasa kepimpinan parti hanyalah khabar angin.

Beliau turut diiringi Timbalan Presiden PBB, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg dan Naib Presiden Kanan Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan.

(sumber

HEALTH ABOVE EVERYTHING

The services of the 1Malaysia Clinic, particularly those in the Santubong Parliament constituency will take initiatives in organising public health related programes in its effart to emphasize the awareness and importance of taking care of one's health.
Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said that although there already one of the three 1Malaysia clinics that to be established in Santubong had started operating, he believes that more efforts should be driven especially for those staying in the far and remote areas.
"We will conduct and organise more health-related programs for the public from time to time and if possible, we will coordinate or collaborate with other government or private agencies and departments such as one we had conducted in Lundu with the military (ATM) several months ago."
Junaidi, who is also the Deputy Speaker of Parliament said this to New Sarawak Tribune after officiating the opening 1Malaysia Clinic at Bandar Baru Samariang at Jalan Sultan Tengah, Santubong near the city here yesterday morning.
He revealed that he had earlier officially applied for at least six 1Malaysia Clinics in Santubong however, due to the land tecnicalities and conditions, so far, the Ministry of Health had only three clinics had been approved while the other applications are still under revieew.
"The three clinics are located at Baru Samariang (Pantai Damai DUN) which started its operation today while the one in Tabuan (Demak Laut DUN) is still undergoing a major  renovation and the clinic at Kampung Pulo (pantai damai DUN) which currently is in the process of locating a suitable site for the establishment."
He explained that the would-be build Kampung Pulo clinic was initially planned to be build at Kampung Bintawa however, there are no existing buildings suitable for the clinic as accordingly stipulated as one of the main condition in the 1Malaysia clinic project, therefore, the venue was to the nearby village which is more centralised and strategic location.
Pointing out that he would continue on seeking allocation from the federal government for other 1Malaysia clinics in his constituency, Junaidi revealed another 1Malaysia clinic (under review) which was initially planned for Kampung Sebat (Tanjung Datu DUN) might be relocated either at Lundu or Sempadi with its a different status; "Klinik Desa".
"The approval of these 1Malaysia Clinics in Santubong and Sarawak in general, refelects the seriousnes and concern by the government led by Prime Minsiter Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in providing the people with medical facilities and specialities," added Junaidi.
Earlier in his speech, Junaidi who was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah reminded the people to take care of their health by being extra caution on the type of food they are consuming because if "a bit too much of one kind of food is also not too good for one's heath".
"What we eat today literally will determine the condition of our health in the future therefore, we must control the type of foods or what we eat as there is a saying, "prevention is better than cure", so to avoid untowards health problems in our old days, start controlling our foods."
Urging the people not to stop to educate their children with a healthy lifestyle, Junaidi pointed out that the people nowadays, seems to take for granted on their heath and doesn't mind consuming more than they shoud have; such as sugar, rice and others.
"We should reliased that even the people in the rural and remote areas, far away from the urban zones nowadays are also "exposed" to the "new sickness or health problems" which are usual effect the people living in the towjns or cities as their lifestyles are slowly "duplicating" the modern lifes in the urban areas.
Giving an example that people in the old days had to "sweat and excercise" by walking on foot or paddling the boats just to reach their working places, Junaidi said the situation nowadays, however is totally different where people just start their cars or motorcyles just to go to work.
"In general, the people consumes the same food as the people before us however, minus the exercises therefore, please take carer of your health by being a bit particular in the type of food you are consuming," he added.
An overwhelming number of more than 50 patients turned up at the launching ceremony of the Bandar Baru Samariang 1Malaysia Clinic which was also attended by Pantai Damai State Assemblyman Dr Haji Abdul Rahman Junaidi and his wife Hajah Siti Syorgayah Haji Muhammad Zaiden, Sarawak Health Department Deputy Director Dr Jamilah Hasyim,  Kuching Division Health Department Dr Kamarudin Lajim and other distinguished guest.

PARLIAMENT SANTUBONG'S ALLOCATION AMONG THE HIGHEST IN MALAYSIA

-FOR 2012 ALONE, JUNAIDI HAD SUCCEEDED IN BRINGING AN OVERALL TOTAL OF RM18 MILLION FOR MORE THAN 100 PROJECTS IN SANTUBONG, A TREMENDOUS ACHIEVEMENT INDEED-
FOR GOOD CAUSE Junaidi (centre) handing a cheque to one of the recipients looked on by Feona (on his right), Rashidi (his left) and dignitaries at the ceremony yesterday
The total development projects in Santubong Parliamentary constituency which are considered having “minor set-backs” which is less than 30 per cent of the overall 100 over varieties of projects.

Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said that a majority of these so-call “set-backed” projects has been identified caused by the contractors whom failed to meet the dateline to commence their work at the site due to various reasons.

“Although, some of the projects had been tenderized to commence the work since June this year, some of the sites had not been touched” at all,” said Junaidi adding that the usual reason for not meeting the commencing date are financial, manpower and others.

“To tell you tell you frankly, all the hard work and initiative dedicated by any Member of Parliament to allocate the funding for any development projects in his or her area will literally go into the drain as the funding would be given back to the federal should the project failed to start.”

He explained although most of the set-backed projects were below RM300,000.00, it is still a waste as it will benefit many of the people in the area where the projects were supposed to be erected.

Junaidi, who is also Deputy Speaker of Parliament disclosed to UnReportedNews™® that for this year alone (2012), he had managed to “milk-up” nearly RM18 million worth development projects he had mentioned earlier.

Accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah, Junaidi was met after attending the presenting ceremony of the “Touch-Point Cheques and Emergency Allocations” in conjunction with the breaking and fast session for his Parliamentary constituency held at a hotel near the city here on Wednesday evening.

“To ensure the contractors will work up to schedule, the community nearby, especially community leaders, village heads, grass root leader and those concerned to have the initiative of being pro-active by continue to monitor the projects.”

Pointing out that, government department and agencies such as the Public Work Department (JK) and others are doing all they can to monitor the situation however, it is quite impossible to monitor all and might had overlooked some of the cases.

“For even more effectiveness, any of those he mentioned earlier that could lend a hand to the government, if possible please report in writing for future references relating to the matter.”

The total amount of the cheque presentation were RM396,500.00; maintaining basic facilities for four respective villages (RM100,000.00), 14-Emergency Allocation recipients (RM23,200.00) and 53-Special Touch-Point Allocation recipients (RM246,300.00).

EMULATE PANDELELA'S DETERMINATION

Junaidi presenting the cheque to one of the recipients while looked on by Feona, Rahman and Rashidi at the ceremony yesterday
To be involved in a field that is less popular or interest by most people is not an unwise decision because if you really confident and interested that certain kind of career, you will surely succeed in the end.

Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the most important thing is that you know that you are good in that line of work plus your determination and dedication while carrying out your duty.

“People nowadays should brush-off the old type of mentality and mind-set that their children will follow their footstep in choosing their career and if they are accountants, their children must be in the accounting field, if they are doctors, their children must also be doctors and so on.”

Junaidi, who is also Deputy Speaker of Parliament said this in his speech at Touch-Point and MRP cheque presenting ceremony for Pantai Damai and Demak Laut constituencies which was held at the Yayasan Sarawak at Jalan Sultan Tengah near the city here yesterday morning.

“If your children at their early age showed interest in cooking, music or arts, don’t simply stop or condemn them but instead you should encourage them as they might possibly have natural talents in them and if practiced at the early stages, they might be the best and build a career in that field in the future.”

Exampling the national diver, Sarawakian Pandelela Rinong who recently won a bronze medal at 2012 London Olympics in the Women's 10m Platform, Junaidi said that the diving event is not a popular sport in Malaysia if compared to badminton or football.

“Despite going to the Olympic as an “underdog” where nobody in this world expected that she would win any medal, Pandelela however, gave her very best and performed a world class diving performance, enabling her to snatch the bronze medal.”

“Whoever thought that a teenager from Sarawak, Malaysia could win an Olympic medal, especially in a sport aquatic event which is not popular and highlighted in our country all this while?,” said Junaidi.

“Therefor, if you have the interest in something that is uncommon, you must dare to give it a try as you might know that you might turn to be the best in that field like Pandelela,” he added.

During the ceremony, Junaidi, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah presented RM491,050 to 170 individuals and representatives of their respective associations.

Also present at the ceremony were Pantai Damai State Assembly Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Pemanca Rashidi Junaidi and other distinguished guests.

The “Darul-Hana” Mega Development Plan, particularly involving the people in Santubong  by the state government which currently is still initial on the “blue-print” level can only be materialized in the near future with the full cooperation from the people in that area.

Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said full cooperation and sacrifices from the people of Santubong is needed to enable the mega-project of developing the areas in to kick-start without any “disruptions”.

“It is a very crucial and an important aspect that the people in Santubong areas which were involved in the mega development plan gives their cooperation with the government particularly in land-related matters to be developed or else the entire planning could be postponed or even be “scratch-off”.”

“The people must bear in mind the should their lands would be developed it would not only benefits the government for more systematic-town-planning but also their children and theirs would also enjoy what had been fruited in the developed areas in the future.”

“The recently announced “Darul-Hana” Mega Development Plan by the Chief Minister Pehin Seri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud is in-line with the motto of Barisan Nasional (BN) government led by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak which is “People’s First Performance Now”,” he added.

Junaidi pointed out that this mega-project is another solid proof that indeed, the people of Sarawak, particularly in the Santubong Parliamentary would not be left behind by the BN federal government in all the transformation and development progress as Malaysia inches of becoming a developed and high-income country by the year 2020.

The Breaking of Fast “Majlis Sungkei Perdana P193 Santubong” was an annual event practiced by Junaidi in every Ramadhan month and were held rotationally in every respective villages in all three DUN; Pantai Damai, Demak Laut and Tanjung Datu in the Santubong Parliamentary constituency.
