Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya Datuk Haji Fadillah Haji Yusuf said that his Petra Jaya Parliamentary election machinery is always ready for the General Election (GE) since "day one" after the last GE in 2008.

"We are always ready since the first day after the last 2008 GE and we don't do it (work for the people) just for the sake of any of the elections but we, Barisan Nasional (BN) do it because we are sincere to the people."

Fadillah, who is the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) said this to reporters after attending the "Selangkah ke University" Programme at UiTM earlier this afternoon.

"To add up to our campaign, we had just recently launched the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Armada Pemuda Program where we meet the youths all over Sarawak," said Fadillah, who is also the PBB Youth Chief and Sarawak BN Youth Chief.

The two-term Assemblyman smiled to a question what are his hopes and chances to be re-nominated again in the forthcoming 13th GE which will be held at any time.

"It's up to the Chief Minister Pehin Seri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud and Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak to make that decision but if I am, I will surely work even much harder for the people, Sarawak and Malaysia," he added.

Also present at the programme were his wife Datin Hajah Ruziah Mohd Tahir, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah.
