SARAWAK BNBBC CHAIRMAN ALSO AGAINST UMNO SPREADING HERE

-THE SITUATION OF SARAWAK BEING A GENUINE "FIXED DEPOSIT" IN THE LAST GE IS FULLY UNDERSTOOD & ACKNOWLEDGED BY OUR UMNO FRIENDS IN BN-


Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) Back-Benchers Club (BBC) Chairman Abdullah Haji Saidol said that he hopes that Datuk Seri Azman Ujang's recent proposal for UMNO to spread its wings into Sarawak is only his personal opinion as an UMNO fan.


"I hope that was his (Azman's) personal opinion as an UMNO fan as I am also a fan of many past leaders who has sacrificed and contributed lots in building this nation."


Abdullah, who is also the Chief Political Secretary to Chief Minister Pehin Seri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud pointed out that for the record, Sarawak have repeatedly proven to be a genuine "Fix Deposit" in past General Election.


"This situation is fully understood and acknowledged by our UMNO friend in Barisan Nasional (BN) however, maybe DS Azman doesnt understand this or perhaps he is inspiring to be an UMNO candidate somewhere out there but i'm sure his not a winnable one."


Abdullah, who is also Semop State Assemblyman said this to UnReportedNews™® when met on the third day of the First Meeting of the Second Term of the 17th State Assembly Hall Sitting ceremony yesterday morning.


He was asked to comment on Azman's recent proposal for UMNO to spread its wings into Sarawak during a live-talk show session at TV3 last week where Azman, admitted that his remarks of UMNO is a one party for all and could be accepted by all races in Sarawak would trigger a controversy. 


So far Assistant Minister of Housing and Youth Development Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah who is also Asajaya State Assemblyman with Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president/Minister of Housing and Tourism/Satok State Assemblyman Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg are against UMNO of spreading its wings to Sarawak.(Please click here)


Meanwhile, Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said that he leaves the matter to Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister Pehin Seri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud to decide.
