-JOHARI IS CONFIDENT THAT THERE WOULD BE NO "DIFFERENCE OF OPINIONS" AMONG PBB MEMBERS SHOULD THERE BE MORE THAT A CANDIDATE "RECOMMENDED" OR NAMED IN THEIR PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY-
PBB Vice-President Datuk Amar Abang Haji Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg said this adding that from his past experience, there are no question of doubts in the loyalty in the PBB members to support whoever would be chosen by leadership of PBB and Barisan Nasional (BN) as their candidates.
"It is our (PBB) normal traidition or culture to give our full support to whoever will be named by Prime Minister (PM) Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Chief Minister (CM) Pehin Seri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud (who is also PBB Chairman) in as our candidates."
"Let the PM who is also the Nasional BN Chairman and CM who is also State BN Chairman make their official announcement on the name list of the candidates but for the time being, I urged the PBB members to be patient until that moment."
"Be patient..we don't when is the General Election going and when the time comes," said Johari to reporters when met after officiating the closing ceremony of the 35th Majlis Tilawah Al-Quran, Nasyid Competition and seminar organised by Kuching Heath Deprt with Persatuan Kebajikan Islam Perubatan (PERKIP) at the old DUN yesterday afternoon.
He quickly brushes-off a question on whether there would there be "difference of oppinions" among the PBB members should there be more than one candidate "recommended' or named in their Parliamentary constituency.
"As I mentioned earlier, PBB alway practices a traditional trend of giving their full support to the candidates chosen by our leader," he said firmly.
To another election-related question, Johari, who is also Minister of Housing and Tourism said that as he is concern, the PBB election machninery are always ready for the GE which would be hold at any time soon.
