-BELIEVING THOSE RUMOURS WERE SPREAD BECAUSE OF POLITIC-MOTIVATED & BECAUSE OF THE FORTHCOMING GENERAL ELECTION, JUNAIDI ADVISES THEM TO STOP THE RUMOURS AS HE IS HEALTHY TO "CONTINUE ON" HIS JOB AS AN MP-
Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar lambasted those quarters who had been spreading rumours that he is still "ill" after "undergoing a heart by-pass" operation recently.
"I am so very displeased on this sort "dirty politicking" tactics and a very ungentlemanly way of lobbying themselves by telling lies and slanders used by some desprate people who wanted to "slot" themselves into politics," he added.
Junaidi, who is also the Deputy Speaker of Parliament said this to the reporters yesterday adding that the matter came to light when he met some friends at the airport and asked about his health.
"I am really surprised at their question and got even surpriser when they told me that news of my "illness" after undergoing a heart by-pass was spreaded by some government agencies and departments,' he said.
Believing those rumours were spreaded because of politic-motivated and because of the forthcoming General Election, Junaidi advices them to stop the rumours as he is healthy to "continue on" his job as an MP.
"It also came to mind than I want to take off my shirt to prove to my friends that I did not have any heart by-pass operation or what so ever and I am in good health," he added.
He said that he's a bit dissapointed because thses irresonsibled quarters are using a dirty tactic involving his health issue.
"Please don't lie just to manipulate those who would be making the decision who will and who's MPs because I am sure that Chief Minister Pehin Seri Haji Abul Taib Mahmud and Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak knew who's working sincerely or otherwise."
Junaidi, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim was met by reporters lauching the "Sukan Rakyat" and "Minum Pagi Bersama Pemimpin" Program held at Kampung Sejingkat near the city on Sunday morning.
Earlier in his speech, he reminded the people to apppreciate what the Government had been provided them all this while and for them to recieve all the benifits, they need to continue to give mandate to Barisan Nasional upon the General Election.
