ME BEING DROPPED IN NEXT GE IS JUST RUMOURS, SAYS NANCY

I DON'T WANT TO ANSWER TO THE SPECULATIONS AS IT WOULD MAKE MATTER WORSE
NANCY-ALL I KNOW I HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD FOR MY PEOPLE IN BATANG SADONG
MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Batang Sadong Hajah Nancy Haji Syukri brushes-off the rumours “cooked-up” by a local English Newspaper (not New Sarawak Tribune) several weeks ago speculating that she is among the five MPs from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) to be dropped in this forthcoming next General Election (GE).

“Please, it’s just rumours and speculations … I don’t know what is the reporters’ intention for creating such a baseless story or where does he/she gets that information but for all I know, I have been working hard for my people in Batang Sadong.”

Nancy was earlier exclusively interviewed by UnReportedNews™® before attending on the Batang Sadong Parliament “Carnival Rakyat” Programme press conference held at Merdeka Palace Hotel near the city here this afternoon.

“I believe I don’t need to entertain such a baseless speculations like that as if I do it will only make the situation worse,” she said to a question why she did not make any response to the rumours thrown on her.

“I have been working close with the Batang Sadong community … you can asked them if you wish and that is why I am confident that all this while I have been performing superbly.”

There are many other developments and projects needed to be brought into Sadong Jaya in the near future that would eventually benefits the people there themselves but nevertheless, as a PBB party person, the decision to retain me as MP for Batang Sadong in the next GE would be in the hands of PBB president and also Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud.

CHIEF MINISTER ALSO SEEMED TO BE AMUSED BY THE SO-CALLED "DROP-OUT LIST"

Several weeks ago, Pehin Sri Taib seemed to be amused when being asked by reporters regarding on the name list of five MP (including Nancy & Santubong MP Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar) to be dropped out in the next forthcoming 13th GE. (click HERE).

Despite only in her first term as an MP, Nancy had proved her charismatic and initiative while discharging her duties as although being busy at the Parliament, she took her time visiting her constituencies during her weekends here in the State.

In the last 2008 GE, Nancy made her political debut as the MP for Batang Sadong with managing to garn 8,183 votes defeating Piee Ling from PKR who only garn 2,758 votes.
