MORE SUPPORTS FOR JUNAIDI TO REMAIN AS SANTUBONG MP IN NEXT GE POURS-IN

-BN REPRESENTATIVES OF THE THREE DUNS IN SANTUBONG PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY SUPPORTS JUNAIDI-

BB Pantai Damai Secretary Razali Mohammad expressed the hopes and expectations from the majority of people from Pantai Damai of wanting Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi to remain as their MP for the next term.

“The main reason for the people, particularly we, from Pantai Damai supports Datuk Wan to remain as our MP is because under his leadership within these previous years, Pantai Damai had never been left out from the overall ‘cake of developments’ in Sarawak but instead, we had move forward along side with the other areas despite being in an urban constituency.”

“The waves of ‘infrastructure developments’ brought by Datuk Wan also includes various other aspect of development and assistance especially projects and programs related to education, welfare, religious and society, in whole.”

“We dearly hope that our top State BN leader and also the Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud would consider for Datuk Wan to remain as our MP in the next term as we believe he is still capable and enable to deliver much more development in our constituency in the near future,” added Razali.

PBB Demak Laut Deputy Chairman Alli Matshah agreeing with his counterpart said that he and all the PBB members from the grassroots up to the top level in his area have ‘high hopes’ for Datuk Wan to continue his service as their MP.

“We believe for the time being, its hard to seek for another MP that is so ‘passionate and committed’ to his work despite of him being the Deputy Speaker of Parliament in Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Wan had never neglected his responsibility towards the people in his areas.”

“It’s not too much for me to say that Datuk Wan is among the MPs in Sarawak who has a very good track record of visiting his constituencies but most importantly, we, in Demak Laut believe and certain of Datuk Wan, who all this while, had proven his efficiency as our leader with his remarkable record of delivering projects in his Parliamentary constituency, can continue doing what he is best at, being our MP,” added Alli.

In the same tune, PBB Tanjung Datu Deputy branch chief Abu Seman Karim said that the people, especially the PBB grassroots in Tanjung Datu had expressed their hopes to see Datuk Wan continuing being their MP as they believed Datuk Wan still can delivers more developments in their area.

“We give an undivided support to Datuk Wan to remain as our MP in the next election, the momentum of development progress could be visibly seen in our area brought by Datuk Wan and we believed that he has much more plans for the benefits our people as he had done, all this while,” he added.

Meanwhile, SUPP Tanjung Datu Chairman Pung Teng Hong said, “Although, the Chinese people are the minority race in Tanjung Datu, we are very fond of Datuk Wan Junaidi for he had always help our people and deliver development, particularly in our area.”

“We are very ‘comfortable’ with him and we truly hope, that the top BN leaders would consider him (Datuk Wan) to continue being our MP,” he said disclosing that there is about 2,000 in the Chinese community at Tanjung Datu.

Teng and the others were interviewed by reporters after attending the BN Parliament Santubong meeting chaired earlier by Junaidi at a hotel in the city on Friday evening.

More than 50 BN representatives from all BN component parties in Santubong attended the meeting. They were then distributed with rating forms to be filled directed from the BN central on progresses of each of the respective constituencies.

Junaidi later told the press all the BN representatives attending the meeting agreed that most of their areas are at level color "white" (Good) however, there are still more rooms for improvements.

"This form actually rates the 'condition' of the respective areas and the forms are needed to be returned to BN central within two weeks from now to be 'autopsied', he explained.

"Although, most of the areas in my constituency are at the "satisfactory-level" it will not make us complacent but we will work together for a much more better result," he added.

When asked whether he is confident that he would be renamed as the BN candidate to defend his Santubong Parliamentary seat in the next GE, Junaidi said, "As I always said, I'm a party man, I cannot answer that question as the final say will be from our Chief Minister who is also the State BN Chairman."
