Sarawakian students at the higher learning institutes,
particularly those studying aboard are urged to always take care of their ethics
and mind their manners all the time.
Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Wan Junaidi
Tuanku Jaafar also reminded the students not to be easily too emotional else,
they can easily be manipulated by irresponsible parties.
“Beside from adjusting themselves with the changing of surroundings,
the students must not forget our origins, ethics and manners and most
importantly, to respect and abide the laws stipulated in whatever situations.”
Junaidi, who is also the Deputy Speaker of parliament was
citing to an incident recently in Kuala Lumpur during the Independent Day’s eve
where a student from a higher institute learning institute was arrested for allegedly
“behaving indecently” onto our Premier’s photograph.
“The students must also learnt and use their common sense
to differenciate what is good or bad and what is right or wrong or else they
might be victims to some irresponsible parties who seemingly had the tendency
to lure students into becoming their “tools” committing something which are against
the law.”
“Bear in mind at the end of the end, you will eventually
found yourself in trouble or on the other side of the law,” he added.
Junaidi said this during his speech at the Santubong
parliamentary emergency allocation presentation to the people in is
parliamentary constituency held at Si-Pec near the city here yesterday morning.
During the ceremony, he presented RM24,000.00 to 22 recipients
including 16 higher learning institute students and also present were Pantai Pamai
