To some, thinking outside the box may be a bit too risky as the circumstances is so unpredictable however, with just enough courage and persistent, wisely taking a small step one after the other, it is possible for that person to eventually learn to walk even on unrecognised terrain.

Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said for those who are afraid and daring enough to grab a chance on something unfamiliar to them are in fact making the biggest mistake of their lives.

“This is because, they would carry the burden of the golden question till the rest of their lives wondering whether they might succeed should they decide to do the otherwise on the opportunity literally passing before them, all because they don't have enough guts even to give it a try.

“As for an example, just say that you came from generations of farmer families, that does not determined or categorized you are also destined to farm as your carrier as what had your father and their fore-fathers had choose to do before you.

“The choice is in your hand for you to decide, whether to the initiative to think outside the box, trying something new for instance; learning mechanic or carpenter skills because you never know that you possibly have the talents in those skills but then again, you’ll never just know until you give it a try.”

Junaidi, who is also Deputy Speaker of Parliament pointed out that it's quite normal for someone failing in their first or several initial attempts in something unfamiliar but making mistakes is just a part and parcel of life, by learning through our failures mistakes.

“Learning through all our mistakes and failures in a way would motivated us even more focused than before and most importantly, never give up and kept on trying, InsyaAllah (With God’s Willing), in the end,  you will succeed sooner or later,” he advised.

“Our country, under Barisan Nasional (BN) government led by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak is currently on the right path making all sorts of preparations as Malaysia moves forward towards the mark of our country's transformation into a developed and high-income country by the year 2020.”

“By initiatively working outside your normal job-scope, you are in fact assisting the government by being not so depended on them to provide you with a job,” said Junaidi adding despite the hundreds and thousands of occupations created by the government, it always seemed they were insufficient as the jobs were focussed onto some limited certain sectors or fields .”

Junaidi, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah said this in his speech during the Majlis Sungkei Perdana P193  Santubong Zon Muara Tebas which was held at the Community Hall at Kampung Muara Tebas near the city here on Tuesday evening.

The Breaking of Fast Ceremony was an annual event practiced by Junaidi in every Ramadhan month and were held rotationally in every respective villages in all the three DUN; Pantai Damai, Demak Laut and Tanjung Datu in the Santubong Parliamentary constituency.

During the ceremony, Junaidi presented a cheque of RM20,000 for the cost to build the drainage system of the villages’ Community Hall, RM5,000 each to the villages’ Fishermen Children Association and the Village’s Woman’s Association respectively.

Junaidi also presented his personal donation of RM8,500 to 170 recipients comprising of unfortunate children, single-mothers and elderly folks from nine villages nearby the vicinity.

Meanwhile, Feona who earlier had also distributed some undisclosed amount of her personal donation to the recipients also handed about 30 pieces of cloths to the elderly folks on behalf of the  Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (BAKTI) in Sarawak.

Also present at the breaking of fast ceremony were Junaidi’s Senior Private Secretary and also PBB Demak Laut Youth Chief Wan Hamzah Wan Paie, PBB Demak Laut Women Wing Chief Fatimah @ Rokiah Temben, Community Leader Suhaili Sahari, PBB Kampung Muara Tebas Chief Sudin Rasit and other distinguished guests.
