DISCIPLINARY ACTION ON BN MEMBERS VIOLATING PARTY'S REGULATIONS

-I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT THE FUED BETWEEN THE DUO (WONG & JOSEPH) IS A PERSONAL MATTER HOWEVER, OUR MAIN CONCERN NOW IS THE OVERALL OUTCOME OF SARAWAK BN PERFORMANCE IN THE FORTHCOMING GENERAL ELECTION-

Stephen Rundi
The State Barisan Nasional (BN) will not hesitate to take any disciplinary action against any of its members who are found guilty of violating any of the stipulated  regulations or going against of the condition its constitutional.

State BN secretary-general Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom said this also includes any of the BN members who intended to contest in any elections against any of their fellow BN members who had been chosen by the BN top leadership.

Stephen, who is also the assistant Minister of Public Utilities (Electricity and Telecommunications) and Assistant Minister of Youth Development (Rural) was met by reporter after the cheque presenting at Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu's office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia at Petra Jaya near the city here yesterday morning.

He was asked to comment on the Meluan State Assemblyman Wong Judat (SPDP/BN) who seemingly had expressed his desire to contest in Julau in the coming general election against incumbent Member of Parliament for Julau Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum from fellow-BN party PRS.

To a question whether the State BN will take any disciplinary against Wong, Stephen revealed that no action will be taken for the time-being as although Wong had openly said his intention of contesting against a fellow BN member in the forthcoming but he still had not quit the party yet.

"From my own personal view, the "fued" between Wong and Joesph seems to be their personal matter however, our main concern is the overall outcome on BN's performance in the forthcoming general election," he added.

Joseph Salang
Earlier on July 21, Wong told reporters at an SWP-organized ‘Pentas Rakyat’ that he would meet Mawan and Tiong in Kuala Lumpur on July 30 and then officially quit the party the following day to enable him to contest head-on with Joseph Salang

Wong however, did not resign from SPDP after meeting SPDP president Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom and deputy president Dato Seri Tiong King Sing in Kuala Lumpur on July 31 later but instead claimed that he still 100 per cent with SPDP and BN, for the time being.

Among those present during the presenting ceremony was Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dato Sri Douglas Uggah Embas and other distinguished guests.
