The muslim community particularly from the Santubong
Parliamentary Constituency are reminded to take the opportunity during the
forthcoming Ramadhan month to learn more about the Al-Quran contents in more
details.

Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the Islamic teachings stated that the rewards for
reading the Al Quran in the most holiest month that is the Ramadan month is
more than the other ordinary month.
Junaidi who is also the Deputy Speaker of Parliament said
this in his speech during the presenting ceremony of the “Ramadhan Assistance
Allocation for 70 mosques and suraus in Pantai Damai and Demak Laut areas area
here yesterday morning.
The annually event which was held the Malaysia Productivity
Corporation (MPC) Hall at Demak Laut here was the seventh series of its kind
and during the ceremony, Junaidi presented RM130,000 to 43 suraus and mosques
from Pantai Damai while 27 suraus and mosques from Demak Laut.
However, the this year the suraus receives RM1,500 and
mosques RM2,500 compared to the previous; RM1,000 and RM1,500 respectively.
Hoping that the suraus and mosques committees will wisely
use these allocations, Junaidi who was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah
Feona Sim Abdulah said the money should be spend on the programs or activities
during the Ramadhan month.
“Invite all the muslims community in your villages,
regardless of their political background, invite them to the suraus or mosques
and participate in your activities and take the opportunity together in
practicing the teaching of Islam in this holy month.”
Among the usual programs conducted at the mosques or
suraus during the Ramadhan month were Khatamul and Tadarus Quran and others.
Also present were Demak Laut State Assemblyman Dr Hazland
Hipni, Junaidi’s senior private secretary Wan Hamzah Wan Paie, Pemanca Rashidi
Junai and other distinguished guests.
