SARAWAK DUN STARTS

-THIS DUN SITTING HELD FROM 14TH TO 23RD MAY WILL SAW A GRAND TOTAL OF 336 QUESTION THAT WILL BE TABLED BY 38 RESPECTIVE DUN MEMBERS & OUT OF THAT FIGURE, 233 QUESTION ARE FOR ORAL REPLIES WHILE 98 QUESTIONS ARE FOR RETURN REPLIES-















The official opening of the First Meeting of the Second Term of the 17th State Assembly Hall sitting ceremony started grandly with the arrival of the Tuan Yang Terutama yang Di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Norkiah at appoximately 9:20 yesterday morning.


Their arrival was greeted by Sarawak Chief Minister Pehin Sri Haji Taib Mahmud and his wife Puan Sri Raghad Kurdi Taib who had arrived the Dataran Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN), the venue of the ceremony five minutes earlier.


They were also greeted by the DUN Speaker of DUN Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar,  Deputy DUN Speaker Datuk Roland Sagah, State Secretary Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani with their wives and Sarawak Police Commissioner DCP Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah.


A total of 105 members of 11th Batalion of the General Operation Force (PGA) led by ASP Iswandy Anis with the Royal Malaysian Police Brass band playing their tunes throughout the entire ceremony.


After the national and state anthem was played, they entered the DUN Chamber where the TYT delivered his speech where among others matters that has been highlighted by TYT are the important of Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) towards the development in the state.


His excellency also touched on job opportunities provided for the youth in the future in his speech.


After the TYT delivered his speech, the State Imam Ustaz Jorji Suhaili later read the doa session folowed by lunch held in main floor of the DUN and a photography session with all the members of the DUN.


The First Meeting of the Second Term of 17th State Legislative Assembly will be held from 14th to 23rd of May will saw a grand total of 336 questions that will be tabled by 38 respectives DUN members and out of the number, 233 questions are for oral replies while 98 questions are for return replies.




From all the questions, five questions have been rejected for infringing the present provisions orders of the dewan and tomorrow, the DUN sitting willl start with the questions and anwers sessions.
