POINTING GUN AT PEOPLE IS DEFINITELY A NO-NO!

-DEPUTY SPEAKER OF PARLIAMENT DATUK DR HAJI WAN JUNAIDI TUANKU JAAFAR WHO IS ALSO A FORMER POLICE OFFICER STRESSED OUT THAT THE BODYGUARD SHOULD HAD NOT ACTED LIKE A "HOT TRIGGER FINGER" WILD COWBOY IN THE OLD WEST! KEKEKE!-
The incident where a bodyguard to opposition de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim allegedly pointing a gun to several members of the public in Jasin, Melaka recently should had not occurred.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar should the bodyguard fully understands the ethics and responsibility of carrying a firearm, he should had not acted as alleged.

“The main responsibility of a bodyguard is protecting and securing the safety of the person who he is assigned to and definitely not going “trigger-happy” when or if he feels he like to,” said Junaidi, who is also a former police officer.

“A bodyguard would only reach out for his firearm if he had no other option when the person in his care is in obvious danger,” he said adding that a bodyguard definitely cannot use his firearm for his own personal use.

In the incident at Kampong Rim, Jassin in Melaka on Saturday afternoon, one of Anwar’s bodyguard allegedly pointed his gun a group of youth who was protesting on Anwars visit to their village and blocking the passage to their village.

The suspect in his 40’s was arrested by the police and his gun confiscated and presently under police custody after the villagers lodged several reports over the incident later on the same evening.

Junaidi, who is also the Member of Parliament for Santubong was met by reporters after attending the Kampung Cemerlang’s Ramah Tamah Aidil Fitri 2012 at Airport Road near the city here yesterday.

Earlier in his speech, Junaidi reminded the villagers to maintain unity and harmony among the various community in Sarawak as the State’s unity had been the main aspect unity being maintained in this state.

More than 100 villagers attended the gathering which was held at the village’s Surau Hidayah and among the distinguished guest were of the gathering’s organising chairman and villagehead Johari Abang and Surau Nurul Hidayah chairman haji Abang Mat Ali Abang Masagus.
