Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan
Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar yesterday presented RM51,500 Ramadhan Assistance
Allocation for 27 mosques and suraus in Lundu area here.
“I hope that the suraus and mosques committees will wisely
use these allocations for the programs or activities during the Ramadhan month,”
added Junaidi who is also the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Junaidi whos was accompanied by his wife Datin Hajah
Feona Sim Abdulah said that the presenting of allocation was an annual event
however, the this year the suraus receives RM1,500 and mosques RM2,500 compared
to the previous; RM1,000 and RM2,000 respectively.
He said this in his speech at the presenting ceremony of the
Ramadhan Assistance Allocation held at the Lundu District Mosque near here
yesterday afternoon.
Also present were Junaidi’s senior private secretary Wan
Hamzah Wan Paie, Lundu District Officer Azmi Bujang, Pemanca Bujang Jali and
other distinguished guests.
