BAKTI PROGRAM SPREADS TO SARAWAK

-THE "SELANGKAH TO UNIVERSITI" PROGRAM WAS THE BRAINCHILD OF BAKTI CHAIRPERSON WHO IS ALSO THE WIFE TO THE PRIME MINISTER, DATIN ROSMAH MANSUR ORGANISED NATIONWIDE-

Member of Parliament for Santubong Datuk Dr Haji Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar reminded students to take the oppurtunity on equipping themselves with all the education offered by the government.


"Take the advantage provided by the government and once you are in the university, do not waste your time but concentrate on your studies as the hopes of your parents and families are upon you."


He said that in his speech at the closing ceremony of the "Selangkah ke University" Programme organised by Wives of Barisan National Elected Representatives Association (BAKTI) at UiTM yesterday afternoon.


The program saw 113 Form Four Students from 15 schools in Sarawak were given the oppurtunity to experience the university-life at the campus for several days.


This program was the branchild of BAKTI Chairperson who is also the wife to the Prime Minister Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur was organised nationwide.


Also present at the programme were Junaidi's wife and also a BAKTI member Datin Hajah Feona Sim Abdullah, Member of Parliament for Petra Jaya and Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Datuk Haji Fadillah Haji Yusuf and his wife Datin Hajah Ruziah Mohd Tahir.
